Mentoring Day What To Expect

1. Coffee & Alignment (Pre-Shoot Strategy)

We begin our day relaxed, sitting down over a warm drink to review your current creative obstacles, business goals, and session fears. We will walk through the exact flow of the shoot ahead, reviewing light placement, baby handling principles, and our posing plan so you feel completely prepared before the family even arrives. This mentoring day can take place in my studio based in London NW10 or your studio if you prefer.

2. The Live Model Session (Guided Practice)

Next, our baby model and family arrive for our live, hands-on shoot. You won't just be standing back watching me work—you will be right beside me, taking the lead with my real-time guidance. Together, we will navigate:

  • Gentle Settling Techniques: Learning how to soothe a fussy baby and turning potentially stressful moments into calm transitions.

  • Reading & Shaping Natural Light: Dealing in your camera settings to capture soft, luminous tones effortlessly.

  • Flow Posing: Executing a seamless progression from beanbag setups to baby in parents' arms, capturing both serene individual detail shots and emotive, connection-filled family portraits.

3. Portfolio Review & Business Roadmap

After saying goodbye to our models, we will review the imagery captured during the session. We’ll analyse lighting, composition, and styling to ensure you have portfolio-ready images that attract your dream clients
